10 CARDS RUMMY

GAME & TOURNAMENT RULES

Alpha Version

10 Cards Rummy is currently in its Alpha testing phase. We are continually improving the game and resolving any remaining issues.

10 Cards Rummy is a 100% SKILL GAME in which your decisions, strategy, and card-playing ability determine your performance.

Practice Mode

PRACTICE MODE ONLY. Play as many hands as you like, completely free.

Practice hands may be temporarily saved to allow players to recover an unfinished game after refreshing or leaving the page. Practice scores do not count toward any tournament, leaderboard ranking, or prize.

The same 90-second Restart Game restriction used in tournaments also applies in Practice Mode.

Gameplay Overview

10 Cards Rummy is a single-player card game. Each player competes by completing valid card combinations in the fewest possible scoring points.

Objective

Your goal is to build valid melds with the 10 cards you are dealt.

Draw a card from the deck and discard one from your hand until you have 10 cards arranged into valid melds. The eleventh card must be discarded to complete the game.

Discarding a Card

Click or tap the card you want to discard. The selected card will move up. Then click or tap the Discard Pile to place that card there.

Declare Winner

When your hand is successfully melded, click DECLARE WINNER and place your eleventh card onto the Discard Pile to complete your game.

A winning declaration must satisfy the game's rules.

Accepted Melds

Form valid sets of matching ranks or sequential runs of cards of the same suit.

Card Ranks — Aces

An Ace is accepted only at the low end of a sequence, for example A-2-3, where the Ace counts as 1.

Discard Pile Display

The Discard Pile provides information about discarded cards and allows you to review recent discards.

TOURNAMENT RULES

The following sections apply to tournament participation, not ordinary Practice Mode.

Tournament Registration and Entry

Players must register or log in to their account and then click ENTER TOURNAMENT to participate.

Creating an account alone does not automatically enter a player into a tournament.

The tournament's minimum participant requirement and any entry fee or prize details are displayed in its announcement.

Tournament Participation — Unlimited Games

During an active tournament, every participant may play as many games (hands) as they wish. There is NO LIMIT to the number of games a participant can play.

Players may continue playing throughout the tournament to improve their leaderboard position, subject to the normal game rules and the 90-second restart restriction.

Tournament Scoring

Every completed winning game produces a score. Only your best (lowest) qualifying score counts toward your leaderboard ranking.

You may play additional games as often as you wish during the tournament. A worse score will not replace your best score. A lower score improves your ranking, while tied scores follow the tournament's tie-breaking rules.

Leaderboard Scoring

Your winning score is the number displayed above the Discard Pile when you complete a winning game.

The lower the score, the better your ranking.

The leaderboard updates during the tournament, showing players' best qualifying scores.

Tied Scores

If two or more players achieve the same score, the player who achieved that score most recently receives the higher rank.

If you achieve your best score again, your position among players with the same score is updated.

A lower score always ranks higher than a higher score.

Player Username, Rank and Score

Your Username, current tournament Rank, and Score appear together beneath your playing cards.

You can also open the LEADERBOARD during Tournament Play to see the full rankings.

Tournament Start and Duration

Once the required minimum number of players has entered, the tournament is scheduled to start at the next 12:00 UTC.

A standard tournament lasts 24 hours, ending at 12:00 UTC the following day.

Special test tournaments may have shorter durations, as announced.

Live Rank 1 Announcements and Sound

During the first five minutes after a tournament starts, the leaderboard updates normally, but there are no Rank 1 announcements or sounds.

After these first five minutes, whenever a different player takes over Rank 1, an official announcement appears in Fireside Community Chat.

An audible siren accompanies the announcement for players who have enabled sound in Community Chat.

The player who is already Rank 1 at the end of the first five minutes does not trigger an announcement. Only a subsequent change to a different Rank 1 player triggers one.

Players are encouraged to click ENABLE SOUND in Fireside Community Chat so they can hear these exciting leaderboard changes while playing.

Tournament Ending — Five-Minute Maximum Grace Period

When the tournament reaches its scheduled ending time:

  • No new games may begin.
  • Games already legitimately in progress may finish during a grace period of up to five minutes.
  • If all eligible games finish earlier, the tournament proceeds immediately to final verification.
  • Any unfinished games remaining at the five-minute deadline are closed.

The five-minute grace period is a maximum allowance, not an automatic extension for every tournament.

Final Rankings and Winner Announcement

Tournament results are subject to server-side verification before being declared final.

Once verification is complete, the final leaderboard is confirmed, and the verified tournament winner is officially announced in Fireside Community Chat.

This final winner announcement is accompanied by a special siren for players who have enabled sound.

The final winner announcement occurs only once per tournament, after verification is complete.

Keep ENABLE SOUND activated in Fireside Community Chat if you want to hear both live Rank 1 changes and the final winner celebration.

Only verified final results determine prize winners.

Tournament Prizes

Prize amounts, eligible winning positions, entry conditions, and other tournament-specific details are announced before each tournament.

For the planned free Alpha Freeroll:

1st Prize: $15 USDT

2nd Prize: $10 USDT

3rd Prize: $5 USDT

Entry: 100% FREE

These prize amounts apply to that announced Alpha Freeroll and are not permanent prize amounts for every future tournament.

Anti-Abuse Measures — 90-Second Restart Restriction

To keep tournaments fair, the RESTART GAME button becomes available only after 90 seconds.

If you refresh or leave during this period to avoid playing a bad hand, the 90-second waiting restriction continues to apply.

Returning after the waiting period has already expired allows you to resume without an additional waiting period.

Refreshing the page therefore provides no advantage.

Provably Fair Shuffle

Every tournament hand receives a unique Hand ID.

Before your browser supplies its client seed, the server commits to the SHA-256 hash of its secret server seed.

After the hand closes, the server seed is revealed, and the VERIFY FAIRNESS tool can independently rebuild the HMAC-SHA256/Fisher-Yates shuffle, check the commitment and deck hash, and compare the recorded initial hand and draws.

Restarted and tournament-closed hands remain available in your recent-hand audit history.

Community Chat

All visitors may read Community Chat, including tournament announcements.

Eligible registered tournament participants may post messages in accordance with the Community Chat rules.

Fireside Chat provides tournament discussions, live Rank 1 announcements, and official final winner announcements.

Players can click ENABLE SOUND to hear announcement sirens or MUTE SOUND to turn them off.

Sound notifications are optional.

Bug Reports and Disputes

If you encounter a technical issue, an incorrect result, or another problem, please report it through COMMUNITY CHAT / CONTACT US so it can be reviewed.
